Our Precious Little Landon Turns One Year Old Today

Our sweet baby is one year old!  Exactly one year ago right now, I was in labor, and we were anxiously awaiting the birth of our precious baby.  Now, as I type, he is sleeping next to me (with his little feet crossed...so cute! )  It has been a year full of wonderful excitement and joy, sometimes worry and tears, and so much love that it can't possible be put into words.  He is the most wonderful blessing that could have been given to our family.  We thank God for him every day.  He is our miracle.

Happy Birthday to my Sweet Little Landon!

Bekah's Senior Portraits

I can't believe that Bekah is a senior.  She was a little baby like our sweet little Landon, and then I blinked and she grew into a lady.  We had her senior portraits taken.  Here is a sneak peek:

This is the one she choose for the yearbook

I am going to put a large one like this on the wall

I am going to use this one in her school years collage

Sorry they are so blurry.  They are photos of the portrait proofs.  We get the actual portraits back in November.

Landon's surgery

Landon had his surgery on October 5.  He had his urological issues corrected, tendon release on both hands and another muscle biopsy.  We arrived at 8:30 in the morning.  He was jabbering away to his nurses.  Of course they fell in love with him!  After they took him back, the long wait began.  It took about 3 hours, but it seemed like forever to me.  Mom, Dad, Cory, Bekah and her best friend Kallie came down to wait with us.  Taylor had football and Chandler was in school. The nurses were wonderful about keeping us updated at least every hour.  Finally, they came out and told us that we could come back to see him.  His nurse said he woke up and gave her a big smile....so precious.  He was a trooper as always.  They were planning on observing him for up to 23 hours, but he was doing so well, that he got to come home just a few hours after surgery.

The first night was pretty rough for him.  He whimpered when his medicine would start to wear off.  Rich and I took turns holding him all night.  By the next day, he was pretty much back to his normal self.  We are so relieved that the surgery is out of the way.  Now we have to wait for the biopsy results, which the doctor is hoping will give them more information about the type of muscle condition he has.
